About the Author
Vaskaran Sarcar (ME (Software Engineering), MCA, B Sc. (Math)) is a Senior Software Engineer at Hewlett Packard India Software Operation Pvt. Ltd. He is working at the HP India PPS R&D division since August, 2009. He is also the author of the books- Design Patterns in C#, Operating System: Computer Science Interview Series and C# Basics. He devoted his early years (2005-2007) in teaching in various engineering colleges. Later he got MHRD-GATE Scholarship (India) from 2007-2009.Reading and learning new things are passion for him.

Superfluous Contribution

This book only contains simple programming examples to the GoF design patterns, but
- unfortunately, the book was not edited (contains many grammar errors and the pictures look ugly)
- the programs are written in Java, but do not follow Java programming conventions
- beyond simple example programs no additional discussion (beyond the one presented in GoF) is given.
If possible, I would have rated this book with zero stars.

The book "Java Design Patterns" is an easy, understandable book on design patterns of Java

The book "Java Design Patterns" is an easy, understandable book on design patterns of Java. The author explains all design patterns of java in such a way that readers can easily understand the concept. I would say this is such a good book in its kind. All those examples in this book is really helpful to understand the topic. Perhaps it has some minor grammatical error, but those are not significant at all. If I would not see those typo, I could give this book 5 star. The content of this book is still excellent and can helps the reader well to grasp the knowledge of design patterns in Java.
